“I have an immense creative drive!
Aside from this, synesthesia is my greatest
Motivation and source of inspiration.
I perceive people, conversations, and interpersonal
Situations as deep color perceptions that appear
Before my inner eye..."
Next to my love for experimenting and developing my individual technique, my main inspiration is my synaesthesia. One sensory perception is strongly coupled with another (e.g.: most common synaesthesia is sound-color perception). Conversation, friends or interpersonal situations are “seen” as moving Color formations in front of my inner eye. This affects my daily life as much as my creative process and conception of an artwork.
Even though these motions can’t be copied, I aim to transport vividness, the feeling of floating and moving forms and colors and depth onto the canvas.
But it really lies in the eye of the viewer to feel my paintings
sensuously.
