KICKOFF VOLUME 0
JANUARY 2022
“By intensifying our perceptions, exciting our intellects, stirring our souls, and interpreting our dilemmas, artists help guide our passage through today’s perplexing world.” Linda Weintraub
WORLD GONE MAD
Covid shut the world down but art did not stop. The art world was forced to create digital alternatives. Art is no longer restricted by geography.
The pandemic accelerate the globalization of the art world, making artists to be more digitally connected, addressing us in our humanity; like Arthur Danto said “Artists have become what philosophers used to be, guiding us to think about what their works express”
Contemporary Art Chronicle was born as a digital independent art gallery with a particular focus in abstract and minimalist painting to feature the immediacy of the art: what is happening now in a borderless art community
KICKOFF VOLUME 0 features artists from South Korea, Lithuania, United Kingdom, Mexico, The Netherlands, United States and Portugal.
KICKOFF VOLUME 0 brings together 9 contemporary painters from different backgrounds working with the elegance of minimalism and the purity of color.
We are proud to present: Chris and Jody Vingoe, Clara Lemos, Gyehoon Park, Ūla Gečaitė, Miguel Castro Leñero, Oliver Lunn, Victoria J.A., Rupert Hartley, and Juan RuizVelasco Peral.
The artists in KICKOFF VOLUME 0 each explore, in quite distinct ways, the form and the color with formal geometries and the use of symbols on the canvas.
In this collective exhibition you will find that artists become an architect of images, signs and symbols. The artists embrace painting as a language to express the interaction of color, signs and time.
