Vanessa Riera
Vanessa Riera's plastic work experiments with the “capabilities” of various textiles as well as the misappropriation of manufacturing techniques from diverse cultures. She creates works that draw their source from architecture, nature, words, but above all humans. Often the sculptures, structures and installations come to life once bodies activate them.
Over time, his awareness of the impact of textile production, both on humans and on natural resources, led her to create from recycled clothing from the clothing industry fast fashion. She also manufactures her materials, in collaboration with artisans.
